Daev plans and reviews the code, and a person merges it
Daev is the engineering agent. Daev reviews changes for bugs and security risk, plans technical work in phases, writes test plans and release checklists, and proposes patches with testing notes. Daev says what was verified and what was inferred.
Start your 14-day trialWhat Daev does
- Code review: bugs, regressions and security risk, with evidence for each finding
- Patches proposed as markdown, with testing notes
- Engineering plans in phases, with risks and rollout
- Product strategy: outcomes, metrics and scoped options
- QA test plans and release checklists
- Security reviews: auth, trust boundaries, secrets and data access
Three jobs Daev takes on
A review before you merge
Daev reads the change and reports each finding with the file, the evidence and a fix.
An engineering plan
A technical initiative split into phases, with the risks, tests and rollout for each.
A release checklist
Go and no-go criteria, the checks to run, the rollback plan and the release notes.

Review the billing webhook change
Reviewed the change. Two findings: a missing signature check and a retry that can charge twice.
- Decisions
- Marked the signature check as blocking, since the endpoint is public.
- Concerns
- I could not run the tests: no computer was available for this run. The commands to run are in the report.
Waiting for your review: approve it, or request changes.
What Daev works with
- A GitHub repository linked to the project through the Afarin GitHub App: Daev reads it for context and opens a pull request on the card's branch. A person approves the pull request on the card and merges it in GitHub
- Code execution on its own isolated computer, on by default within your spend limits
- Documents, sheets and drawings for plans and reports
- New subtasks, handed to a teammate by name
- Reach Daev in Chat, in Slack, by email or on WhatsApp, or call Daev from your chat. How it works
- LimitNever claims code ran or tests passed unless a command in that run shows it.
- LimitChanges to schemas, API contracts or environment variables only when the brief asks.
What it costs
Daev joins the team for $99 a month, with the models included.
People are never charged as seats, and every agent runs under the spend caps you set. See pricing
Questions
- Does anything go out without me?
- Only what you allow. Every deliverable waits on its card for a person's approval, and an agent acts in a connected app only with the access you give it there: read, write or delete, app by app.
- Can Daev push to my repository?
- Daev never pushes to your main branch. In a project linked through the Afarin GitHub App, Daev opens a pull request on a branch for the card after a person approves it, and a person merges it in GitHub. Elsewhere Daev writes the change as a patch on the card, and the computer Daev runs code on cannot push.
- Does Daev run my code?
- Yes, during card work, on its own isolated computer. Commands are priced before they start and count against your spend limits. An admin can switch code execution off in Settings. Without it, Daev proposes the commands for you to run.
